Barbarians among Civilized Citizens...

What is going on with kids and shooting up schools this year? It’s not even funny, it’s absolutely shameful. It seems everyday on CNN there is something going on at a school that endangers students, faculty, and staff. There have been 4 shootings so far this year… Has the school year not just started? How many more are there going to be?
Today again, in a small Amish school, a man came in, let the boys and pregnant women go and killed 3 young women execution style...
What for?
The scene outside the Amish school...

It’s disgusting to think barbaric people like this live among us.
“DENVER, Colorado (AP) -- A bearded drifter walks into a Colorado school and fatally shoots a student before taking his own life. Wisconsin authorities charge three boys with plotting a bomb attack on their high school and, two weeks later, a student in a rural school allegedly shoots his principal. A gunman bursts into a Vermont elementary school looking for his ex-girlfriend and guns down a teacher."
All of this in the past month alone.
This is an American source, and it doesn’t even mention Dawson, which happened just 4 weeks ago also.

Have people our age (15-21 yrs.) gone so insane that when they have a problem they decide to shoot up all their school mates? There are so many support options if only they would reach out. But thats the problem, they never do. And even when those groups try and reach out to them they shy away because they are embarrased to admitt they have a problem, or don't even know it themselves..

Whats even worse is that stupid CNN turns this into a huge media event in which you have every major analyst telling parents to "make sure their kids hang out with (good) kids" "pick your kids up immediatly after school" "You must have earlier curfews for your kids" the list goes on and on...

Another quick quote..
"(AP) -- Since 2001, federal funding for a grant program that helps U.S. schools pay for programs to prevent substance abuse and violence has declined significantly.

Funding was $439.2 million in 2001 but has fallen to $346.5 million this year, with $310 million recommended for 2007.

The Bush administration has recommended eliminating the program, though Congress has repeatedly voted to retain it."

Someone is going to say "Look, we can blame the reduced spending.." What an idiot.
I wonder how much Canada spends a year on reducing violence in our schools? I bet close to none since Ive never heard of Canada spending money on this stuff. (someone correct me if im wrong)
